Bottoms said her husband and one of her kids also tested positive. The mayor is unaware of how she got the virus, but said she and her family have kept up with health and safety recommendations.
“I have a low positive test, so it either means I’m on the way up or the way down,” she stated. “They don’t know which one, but they’ve told me to treat it as if I’m positive just in terms of quarantining and all of the things that we that are recommended that people do.”
Bottoms said her symptoms felt like light allergies, adding that she only got tested after her husband began feeling more tired.
