Twitter labeled a tweet from The Lincoln Project, a NeverTrump political action committee, depicting an edited video of President Trump’s “Salute to America” speech as “manipulated media.”

In the video, Trump appears to be claiming that Desert Storm, a military operation in 1991 in Iraq, took place in Vietnam. The full context, however, shows that President Trump was actually listing off various U.S. conflicts.
This video is manipulated.

The video, which has since been deleted from The Lincoln Project’s page, was also fact-checked by multiple sources including Snopes and CNN.
People are sharing a short clip that makes it seem like Trump said Desert Storm happened in Vietnam. He did not, though he stumbled. Here’s the transcript of that section. pic.twitter.com/vTlOnY9CAR

“Swift and swip in” aside, it has been correctly pointed out that the preceding clip gives the misleading impression that Trump linked Desert Storm to Vietnam. He did not, as can be seen in the longer clip below: https://t.co/rUKykVDkOb

The Lincoln Project has been a long adversary of Trump, often tweeting and taking out advertisements criticizing his leadership.
“Under the leadership of Donald Trump, our county is weaker and sicker and poorer,” one ad stated. “And now, Americans are asking, ‘If we have another four years like this, will there even be an America?’” asked another.
President Trump pushed back on the May 2020 ad, calling the Lincoln Project “a disgrace to Honest Abe.”
A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, “Morning in America”, doing everything possible to….

According to NBC News, “The Trump campaign has called the Lincoln Project a ‘scam PAC,’ accusing members of ‘lining’ their pockets.”
Trump has also been the target of Twitter’s “manipulated media” alert. In early June, President Trump tweeted an obviously fake video of a “racist baby” that was marked with the fact checking alert.
