Churches Remain Shut Down While Riots Engulf The Nation

Major cities across the U.S. saw their fourth day of protests and riots Friday night following the death of Goerge Floyd, an African-American man who was killed by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
On Friday, Chauvin was arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter.
Violent demonstrators from Minneapolis, to Atlanta however, continue to storm city streets in the worst nationwide breakout of civil disobedience in decades while in the middle of a global pandemic over the novel Wuhan coronavirus. As churches remain shut down in much of the country for the sake of social distancing, the ruthless rioting paid no mind to the ongoing public health emergency that has prompted large-scale lockdowns changing modern life as we know it and wrecking the world economy in the process.
In Atlanta, protestors held the CNN headquarters under seige, lighting cars on fire and smashing windows in widespread vandalism repeated throughout a nation in unrest.

In Minneapolis, the site of Floyd’s death that ignited a week of domestic terror, the carnage continued for its fourth straight day, despite an implemented curfew after rioters had already burned down nearly an entire precinct including a police station.

The violence in the Minnesota city appears to have peaked Thursday night as structures across the city were set ablaze.

Things also turned took a violent turn in Brooklyn.

Further south in Washington D.C., things appear on the verge of escalating into large scale violence seen in other cities as of this writing.

On Friday, protests were also reported in at least Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Paul, Louisville, Dallas, Sacramento, Bakersfield, San Jose, and Columbus.
